Lessons from Stoicism

WHEN: 25th of March (Wednesday), 11:00-12:00h

WHERE: Clubhouse, Ispra

LANGUAGE: English

For organizational reasons, please register by the 22nd of March by clicking on the button below.

The workshop:

In a fast-paced expat life, where careers, cultures and expectations collide, work-life balance can feel like a moving target. This one-hour interactive talk draws on Stoic philosophy, in particular the teachings of Zeno of Kition, who was the founder of Stoicism.

Through a combination of short philosophical inputs and guided reflections, participants will explore how Stoic principles help in responding skilfully to pressure and uncertainty, inherent to the ‘V.U.C.A.’ world we are living in. Zeno’s wisdom lends us practical guidance for managing our energy, setting boundaries and redefining success beyond constant productivity.

Participants will leave with simple Stoic tools which they can apply immediately, both at work and at home, so that they may experience greater clarity, emotional resilience, and balance in their lives.
